When you purchase a gift song, you are investing in a highly personalised and very special gift, which will show someone just how much you care about them. We take each song very seriously, investing our own time and thought into making it something you are happy with, and that we are proud of too. The collaboration and writing process can be a very personal one, and we feel privileged to be a part of it. Below is an outline of how a gift song is created, from beginning to end.
Firstly, we suggest you read through our terms and conditions and make sure you are happy with these before you proceed.

In Detail: The Process of Making Your Gift Song
1. Contact us via email or phone to discuss your gift and make a time to meet.
We will send you our guidelines document which contains some things to think about before our meeting. This meeting can often take place in person, but may be done alternatively via skype, phone, or online (email, chat). In our meeting, we will discuss the content of the song. You don’t have to know exactly what you want it to contain, but an idea of what you are trying to say is good. We will ask you questions to guide you through the process until we have enough information to work with.
2. Organising a deposit to start work
We will send you an invoice for a 50% deposit, which must be paid before we proceed with writing your gift song. Within a week of payment of this deposit, we will send you a first draft of your gift song. This is where you can have a read and a listen and let us know whether we’re on track. We will be in regular contact to make sure you end up with a song that you love.
3. Choose from your artwork options.
All gift songs come as a physical CD with a personalised CD cover and lyrics card. For the front cover you have three options. All of these will be edited and used to make the front cover of your CD. (More detail on this at the bottom of the page).
a) Provide us with a photograph
b) Choose one of three stock images we have selected to suit the theme of your song
c) A personalised picture drawn by one of our artists (see the work of Hannah Sutton and Wendy Webb on the ‘Look & Listen’ page)
If you have an idea or request for the cover that does not strictly fit within these three options, feel free to run it by us and we’ll see what we can do. Please note that creating more complex artwork or combining our given artwork template options together (for example, photo design & custom artwork) will incur an additional fee.
The front cover will have your song title and selected picture on it and the back cover and the back cover has acknowledgements and a space for you to write your own message. Inside the cover, with your CD, will be the lyrics to your song.
4. We will check you are completely happy with the song before recording it for you.
We will also send the artwork template to check over before printing. We will send you an invoice for the remaining 50% and once payment has been received, we will send your CD to you via registered mail.

Cover Art: Options For Your Personalised CD Cover
Option 1: Personalised artwork by Silverwebb Studios
An example below of our cover art template – this option features a personalised, original artwork by Wendy Webb of Silverwebb Studios on the front. The back features a personal message from you, along with our logo. Included inside the cover is a lyrics card.
Option 2: Your own photo
In this cover option we use a photo you’ve provided us and create a cover art from it. This process includes some light Photoshopping or image enhancement, and a fancy cover title. The back features a personal message from you, along with our logo. Included inside the cover is a lyrics card.
Option 3: Use a stock image
Can’t find the right photo for a cover? We’re happy to help you select a stock image of something special for you to use instead. This normally includes a selection of 3 images, and the purchase of 1 image (from a stock site like Bigstockphoto.com) – Please note that as prices for these images vary, they are not always included in the gift song price. The back features a personal message from you, along with our logo. Included inside the cover is a lyrics card.
